Barry is the founder of Winthrop and majority shareholder in the company. He qualified with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering in the prestigious University College Dublin in 1988. He has worked in the building services industry for 30 years both nationally and internationally.
Having been involved in most of the companies many projects since its foundation, Barry also specialises more specifically in Mission Critical solutions and has an inherent knowledge of the Data Centre market for the last 20 years.
When required Barry provides a very hands on approach when dealing with key clients. He provides a trifecta of market experience, commercial astuteness and engineering knowledge. Barry has enabled the company to grow in a controlled and profitable manner since its foundation.
Anne is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and joined Winthrop in 1997. A director and shareholder, she has overall responsibility for all projects, whilst also performing a vital role in the day to day operations and cost management of the company.
Anne has been a crucial part of Winthrop’s significant and steady growth in the M&E and Mission Critical Turnkey sector over the last 20 years.
At the 2008 O2 National Business Awards, Anne won the top prize, collecting the award for ‘Business Woman of the Year’.
Bernard joined Winthrop in 2004, and his role within the company is as Data Centre Director overseeing the whole process from design to construction. He has extensive experience in the Data & Pharmaceutical industry, working closely with Global Data Centre Clients over the last number of years, and has delivered large scale projects for Pharmaceutical Companies such as IVAX, Merck Sharpe & Dohme and Wyeth Medica.
Aiden has been in the electrical industry in Ireland since 1985. He has been with Winthrop since 2004 and is renowned for his incredible work ethic and attention to detail.
Aiden has extensive experience in the Industrial, Commercial and Data Centre sectors. He has provided a critical role in most major projects with several blue chip industry clients, along with other Client Confidential Data project deliveries. He also managed the companies 3.5 year electrical tool installation project (€1bn project) in Ireland, for a global U.S semi conductor company, reporting directly to the clients Directors from both Ireland and the U.S.
