The Winthrop Maintenance team were delighted to support the local community at Neilstown Boxing Club in a project led by Mark O’Connor.
Project Scope
To improve the club’s facilities, we provided mechanical and electrical services, including:
- The installation of two new electric showers.
- The replacement of ceiling tiles throughout the unit.
About the Club
Neilstown Boxing Club is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom are former members of the club. The facility operates three evenings a week, hosting two separate training sessions each night. One for younger children and a later session for teenagers. On average, between 40 and 60 kids attend the club every training night.
Upcoming Events
The club has a significant year ahead, starting with the “Neilstown Celtic Warrior Box Cup” this May where they will host and compete against other clubs. They have also organised a group trip to America for their members this summer.
